R&D Batteries, Inc.

EFH Co. utilized a variety of the tools in its belt to help a local medical battery manufacturer build a new corporate headquarters in Burnsville. R&D Batteries, Inc., which both manufactures and services batteries used in a wide variety of medical devices, contracted with EFH not only for the design and construction of a new 15,000-square foot offices/production/warehouse facility, but also for help in guiding the project through local approval processes. EFH began its involvement by putting its expertise in working with local bureaucratic bodies to good use when coordinating with the city of Burnsville and the Met Council for the creation of the new building site. And anytime new sites are split from existing sites, and involve cross-access easements for parking and utilities, solid guidance through that process can be invaluable. The new R&D Batteries building itself was built during a cold Minnesota winter, and done using pre-cast insulated wall panels, providing a quick and efficient construction process.
